The Lehigh Valley
IronPigs became the first
minor league baseball team to have its
entire 72-game home schedule televised live
in 2008. Wanting to increase their
production values without breaking the bank
the IronPigs decided to deploy a Boxx
Meridian system into the Coca-Cola park.
As this is a permanently
fixed system it required the receive site to
be "hard installed". The video shows how
simply this was accomplished.
The Meridian systems now
offers the IronPigs stadium wide coverage
including non-line of sight areas,
comparable to COFDM systems costing
significantly more than the Boxx system.
The network airs each
home game to more than 900,000 households in
Eastern PA and Western NJ.
All games on the IronPigs TV Network
powered by Service Electric feature a
15-minute pre-game show and a post-game show
featuring the Boxx Meridian system allowing
them to roam the stadium for different and
new angles with ease.
